ISM services: Activity in the US services sector is forecast to have remained in expansionary territory in September, at a reading of 51.7 compared with 51.5 in August. A reading above 50 indicates an expansion.
Constellation Brands: The maker of beer brands Modelo and Corona is expected to report a 2 per cent year-on-year increase in second-quarter revenues, to $2.9bn. Constellation Brands will post earnings before the opening bell.
Fedspeak: Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta president Raphael Bostic will discuss the inclusive economy in a conversation moderated by Minneapolis Fed president Neel Kashkari as part of a conference hosted by the latter’s bank.
Biden: The US president will travel to Florida and Georgia to survey the effects of Hurricane Helene and to meet those affected by the storm.
