Pioneering layer-2, Bitcoin Hyper (HYPER) has opened its new wallet for community testing, marking another step in the project’s effort to bring more functionality to the Bitcoin ecosystem.
The Bitcoin Hyper Wallet is available as a browser extension for its testnet, giving users an interface to begin exploring the network as development progresses. The release follows the project’s rollout of its public testnet infrastructure and blockchain explorer, with a faucet, bridge, and staking dashboard outlined as subsequent additions.
The wallet announcement puts a practical component at the center of Bitcoin Hyper’s development. While Layer 2 projects often emphasize transaction speeds and scalability, users also need accessible tools to interact with the networks being built.
Bitcoin Hyper Wallet Opens for Testnet Testing
As of today, Bitcoin Hyper Wallet is ready for community testing and can be installed as a browser extension. The team has also published installation instructions to help users get started.
The wallet adds another piece to that process by providing an interface for interacting with the test environment. Its availability gives the community an opportunity to engage with the developing ecosystem while the project continues working on additional components.
Bitcoin’s established role as a crypto asset has encouraged developers to explore ways to expand what users can do with BTC. Layer 2 networks seek to support additional activity without requiring every transaction or application operation to take place directly on Bitcoin’s base layer.
However, infrastructure alone does not create an accessible product. Wallets are an important part of the user experience because they provide the interface through which people manage accounts and interact with supported network functions.
Bitcoin Hyper is building around this utility proposition. Its proposed architecture combines a Bitcoin-focused Layer 2 with the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM), an execution environment designed to support smart contracts and decentralized applications.

Can Hyper Turn Its Utility Into Wider Adoption?
Bitcoin Hyper’s new wallet gives users an entry point into its developing Layer 2 ecosystem, but the bigger question is whether that early access can translate into lasting adoption. With $33.2 million raised in its presale, a token price of around $0.0137, and 35% APY staking rewards, Bitcoin Hyper is attracting attention from people looking for early exposure to Bitcoin-focused infrastructure.
Quant (QNT) offers an example of how an infrastructure-focused crypto project can develop beyond its initial fundraising phase. Its April 2018 public token sale raised $11 million, with QNT sold at an effective price of $1.10 per token. The project went on to develop Overledger, technology designed to connect different blockchains and existing financial systems through APIs.
Bitcoin Hyper has now raised roughly three times that amount, surpassing $33 million in its presale. The comparison highlights the scale of early funding behind its attempt to build Bitcoin Layer 2 infrastructure. With its wallet now available for testnet testing and its planned launch approaching, Bitcoin Hyper is at an early stage where successful execution could shape its longer-term potential.
With Bitcoin Hyper’s launch scheduled for November 26, just one month away, investors have a narrowing window to consider the presale before the project moves into its next phase.
