(Reuters) – Singapore Telecommunications stated on Monday personal fairness agency KKR will acquire a 20% stake in the agency’s regional data centre enterprise with an funding dedication of up to S$1.1 billion ($806.87 million).
The deal places the enterprise worth of SingTel’s total regional data centre enterprise at S$5.5 billion ($4.03 billion) and the funds might be used to broaden the data centre’s enterprise throughout Southeast Asian markets, together with Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand.
“Robust digital infrastructure…will play a crucial role in enabling Southeast Asia’s flourishing digital economy, and Singapore is well-placed to serve as a central hub for the region,” stated David Luboff, accomplice and head of Asia-Pacific infrastructure at KKR, in an announcement.
