- I recently dined at Bobby’s Burgers, a fast-casual burger spot by Bobby Flay in Atlantic City.
- It felt a little expensive at $30 for a burger, fries, and a soft drink.
- However, the meal was delicious from start to finish.
Celebrity chef Bobby Flay knows his way around a burger.
So, when I visited Atlantic City for the first time, I knew I needed to try his fast-casual burger joint, Bobby’s Burgers.
The chef has launched two fast-casual burger chains over the years.
There’s Bobby’s Burger Palace, which launched in 2008 and is now down to just two locations, and Bobby’s Burgers, which opened in 2021 and has since expanded to 10 locations nationwide.
I stopped by the Atlantic City location, located inside Harrah’s Resort.
Here’s what I thought of the meal, and whether I’d go back to Bobby’s Burgers.
Bobby’s Burgers in Atlantic City is located inside the Harrah’s Resort.

Located about 2 miles from the Atlantic City boardwalk, the restaurant was easy to find thanks to signs directing visitors to the food court.
The menu mainly consists of burgers, sandwiches, and sides.

Breakfast is also offered from 11 a.m. to noon on weekdays and from 10 a.m. to noon on weekends.
When I stopped by mid-afternoon on a Sunday, a handful of diners were seated at nearby tables, while a few others lined up at the walk-up counter.
I waited in line, placed my order at the counter, and then sat at one of the tables across from the pick-up window.

Other than the sign out front, there was little to indicate I was at a Bobby Flay restaurant. Rather than a full brick-and-mortar location, it’s simply a grab-and-go counter tucked inside the casino.
It took less than 10 minutes for me to receive my order.
I ordered the Palace Classic Burger, a soft drink, and a side of fries.

The menu featured seven burger options, ranging from a brunch-style burger to one topped with blue cheese sauce and bacon, a veggie burger, and even a fried chicken sandwich.
Burgers and sandwiches were priced between $13.49 and $15.49.
My Diet Coke cost $5.99 with self-serve refills — pretty steep, but on par with what I’ve seen at other Atlantic City and Las Vegas casinos.
The meal arrived on a metal tray lined with Bobby’s Burgers-branded paper, giving it a classic fast-food spot feel.
The burger was also branded with a custom Bobby’s Burgers box.

I was given the option to order my burger well-done or medium, and opted to order mine medium. I’ve never been given the option to customize how I want my burger cooked at any other fast-food or fast-casual chain I’ve been to, so I liked having the option.
The burger came on a soft Brioche bun.

The Palace Classic Burger ($14.49) came topped with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and Bobby’s sauce, which is a creamy, tangy burger sauce.
The generous amount of toppings peeked out from beneath the glistening bun.

The burger was larger than I expected. It was priced under $15, which is about average for fast-food burgers with similar ingredients, however, it was so massive, I needed both hands to lift it.
Still, with fries and a drink, the total came to $30, more than double a typical fast-food combo. For context, a large Quarter Pounder with Cheese meal at my local McDonald’s in Brooklyn costs $14.89.
The toppings were fresher than any I’ve had at a fast-food joint.

Even though the meal was a little pricey, I thought it was a good value for the quality of the burger and fries.
The burger was juicy, well-seasoned, and really satisfying.

The thick slice of tomato freshness balanced out the savory, seasoned beef patty, while the tangy cheese added even more flavor. On top, crisp lettuce gave each bite a satisfying crunch.
Overall, the burger was far superior to anything I’d expect from a standard fast-food meal.
The serving of fries was also generous.
Erin McDowell/Business Insider
The fries ($6.49) were perfectly salted and easily spilled out onto the tray for grabbing and dipping.
I ate the fries with a side of Bobby’s sauce.
Erin McDowell/Business Insider
The sauce was tangy and creamy with just a hint of spice, and it complemented the fries nicely. It clung to each fry and added even more flavor.
The fries were crispy but not so overfried that they lost their fluffy potato center.
After finishing my meal, I was genuinely impressed.

From the juicy burger and crispy fries to the signature sauce, every element felt carefully executed and a step above standard fast food.
The price was steep, but the quality made it worth it. It was easily better than any fast-food meal I’ve had in recent memory.
For anyone craving a more elevated take on classic fast-food staples, Bobby’s Burgers delivered a fast and delicious meal.
