Paul Pelosi, husband of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, took the stand Monday within the trial of David DePape, the person who brutally attacked him with a hammer within the couple’s San Francisco dwelling final 12 months.
During the proceedings, Pelosi recalled being bludgeoned through the Oct. 28, 2022 assault in the course of the evening.
“The door opened and a very large man came in with a hammer in one hand and some ties in the other and he said, ‘Where’s Nancy’ as I think that woke me up,” he stated. “I’m asleep and he bursts in the door and that woke me up.”

Pelosi, 83, who stated he did not set the house’s safety alarm, was left with a fractured cranium and critical accidents to his proper arm and arms.

DePape’s protection legal professionals have stated he obtained caught in conspiracy theories that led him to consider the nation was being run by corrupt leaders. Prosecutors stated he had been planning to assault the Pelosi dwelling for months.
He faces as much as life in jail if convicted.
