    • Indeed published its new list of the best US jobs, and many of the top positions were in healthcare.
    • The top 10 have varying wage growth and hiring demand, but all typically pay six figures.
    • Cardiac medical tech, owner-operator truck driver, and nurse practitioner made up the top three this year.

There’s more evidence that healthcare jobs are a bright spot in the US job market.

Job-search platform Indeed published its new list of the best jobs to “get hired and thrive.” After analyzing thousands of roles based on job postings, wage growth, and other factors, Indeed found many of the top ones were in healthcare.

“The data-driven snapshot weighs current job openings against three-year growth trends to identify the ‘sweet spot’ of the market — careers that aren’t just stable for today, but are positioned for long-term mobility and security in the future,” the new report said.

Indeed said that jobs with a salary floor of $65,000 had priority because they pay above the overall median.

Laura Ullrich, director of economic research in North America at the Indeed Hiring Lab, told Business Insider that the list suggests that specialized roles and sectors where it’s harder to pause hiring are strong corners of the job market, such as healthcare.

Bureau of Labor Statistics data showed last year’s job growth was cooler than the past few years, but healthcare and social assistance powered through. They’re more resilient to cyclical changes.

“It’s hard to take a pause in hiring in that sector compared to maybe some typical business sectors,” Ullrich said.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics estimated that employment of nurse practitioners, which ranked No. 3 on Indeed’s new list, is projected to grow 40% from 2024 to 2034. The employment of data scientists, which ranked No. 10 on Indeed’s list, is also expected to grow rapidly over the decade, increasing by 33.5%.

Below are the top 10 jobs and estimates from Indeed.
