Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell can expect a difficult press conference on Wednesday, with a lot more interest in what he has to say about politics than economics.
The press conference, which will follow the Fed’s decision on interest rates, comes just a couple of weeks after Powell took an unprecedented step
in accusing the White House of trying to use legal threats to pressure the central bank to slash interest rates.
