Bitcoin Holds $76K Post-Fed Rate Hike as Capital Rotates to SVM-Powered Layer-2 Infrastructure | Invesloan.com

On Thursday, September 17, 2026, the digital asset market demonstrated resilience as the Federal Reserve executed its first interest rate hike in more than three years. Despite the macroeconomic tightening, Bitcoin (BTC) maintained its position just below $76,400, securing a 1.2% gain over 24 hours to reach a $1.53 trillion market capitalization. The broader market responded in tandem, pushing the total crypto market capitalization up 1.29% to $2.61 trillion, while the Crypto Fear and Greed Index settled at 64, indicating continued greed.

As capital rotates from spot markets into early-stage infrastructure, the presale for Bitcoin Hyper (HYPER) has crossed the $33.14 million mark, positioning the Layer-2 project near its $33.57 million stage target. The funding milestone was accelerated by a five-figure whale transaction, signaling institutional-grade interest in scaling solutions designed to bring high-speed execution to the Bitcoin network.

Macroeconomic Headwinds: Fed Implements 25-Basis-Point Rate Hike

Yesterday afternoon, The Federal Open Market Committee voted unanimously (12-0) to raise the target federal funds rate by 25 basis points to a range of 3.75% to 4%. This decision marks the first rate hike since July 2023. While market participants anticipated a correction earlier in the week due to rising oil prices and 5% Treasury yields, the actual announcement resulted in brief volatility before the market resumed its upward trajectory.

At the time of writing, Bitcoin remains stabilized above the $76,000 threshold, while Ethereum rose 2.2% to trade above $2,400. Daily derivatives volume contracted by 8.7% to $867 billion, with short liquidations slightly outpacing longs during a volatile trading window that eliminated overleveraged positions on both sides.

According to market analyst Michaël van de Poppe, the 25-basis-point hike is being interpreted as a net positive for risk assets under current conditions. While Bitcoin still needs to establish $76,000 as firm support to sustain its momentum, the absence of a major sell-off suggests investors are looking past short-term macroeconomic headwinds.

Cutting rates would be incredibly bad for markets.

    Holding steady would be ok.

Hiking rates effectively increases QE, so #Bitcoin can rally. https://t.co/B7ezF2p5cF

Technical Architecture: Bringing SVM Speed to Bitcoin Security

To address the demand for faster, lower-cost Bitcoin transactions, Bitcoin Hyper (HYPER) is developing a Layer-2 network that utilizes the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) for execution while settling directly on the Bitcoin blockchain. The network’s canonical bridge allows users to deposit native BTC, which is verified by the network’s relay program using block headers and transaction proofs to mint equivalent L2 assets. This structure enables near-instant transaction finality with minimal fees.

The transaction state of the Layer-2 is periodically batched, compressed, and committed back to the Bitcoin base layer. For withdrawals, the process is reversed: the L2 verifies the user’s balance, and the bridge releases native BTC on the Layer-1 mainnet.

Better observability helps the team track performance, understand transaction flows, identify issues earlier, and refine the ecosystem as it grows.

The native HYPER token serves as the utility asset for transaction fees and staking, with plans to transition governance to a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) next year. The token features a fixed maximum supply of 21 billion, distributed across the following allocations:

    • Development: 30%
    • Treasury: 25%
    • Marketing: 20%
    • Staking Rewards: 15%
    • Exchange Listings: 10%

The project’s roadmap schedules the mainnet launch, official bridge activation, and initial ecosystem applications for late 2026. HYPER is scheduled to list on public exchanges at an initial price of $0.0137.

    Presale Metrics and Staking Incentives

The public presale, which launched at $0.0115, is currently offering HYPER tokens at a stage price of $0.0136863. Early participants can stake their tokens immediately to secure a 35% APY. Large-scale interest continues to build, as evidenced by a single wallet snapping up $12,127 worth of HYPER earlier this week, highlighting demand for yield-generating assets amid spot market consolidation.

Investors looking to acquire HYPER tokens before the next price tier can do so by visiting the official Bitcoin Hyper site, connecting a compatible Web3 wallet, and executing the transaction. Alternatively, the token can be purchased directly within the Best Wallet mobile application under the “Upcoming Tokens” section, available for download on both the Apple App Store and Google Play.

The presale supports multiple funding options, including ETH, USDT, USDC, BNB, SOL, and traditional bank cards. Staking rewards are active immediately upon purchase at a rate of 35% APY, with the current stage price locked at $0.0136863.

To stay informed on development milestones, upcoming exchange listings, and presale stage transitions, users can Follow Bitcoin Hyper on X and join the project’s Telegram group.
