For the past three years, the Financial Times, in conjunction with Workday, has asked readers to nominate the European companies they consider to be ‘Tech Champions’ — for their development, or clever use, of new solutions to the latest business challenges.
Among those featured in 2021 were many that had used technology to overcome the mass disruptions of the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2022, several had found ways to counter geopolitical and energy sector turmoil. Then, in 2023, much of the focus was on the threats and opportunities posed by artificial intelligence and climate change.
Nominate a Reinvention Champion now

But, this year, to recognise a broader range of activities — and a wider range of business challenges in Europe — we are inviting FT readers to nominate companies that have reinvented themselves, in any way, using technology or other means.
It could be a shift in corporate strategy; or an innovative new product; or a change in process or operations; or even a whole new business model.
Nominations may be made by anyone, including company representatives, using this simple online form (2 minutes to complete). FT journalists will also contribute to the nomination process, research and vet the entries, and help to draw up a shortlist.
A panel of judges will then study the companies nominated and select the best examples from different sectors, naming them ‘Reinvention Champions 2024’.

Those companies selected by the judges as ‘Reinvention Champions’ will be showcased in a special online report in November.
Accompanying articles will profile them and their senior management — examining their strategic shifts, what they changed and why, how they delivered, and their measures of success.
