Bitcoin treasury stocks are set to react sharply to Tuesday’s US CPI release, as these companies’ share prices track Bitcoin closely and Bitcoin has grown more sensitive to inflation data as a macro asset.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI), published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, measures the monthly change in prices paid by urban consumers for a fixed basket of goods and services. Headline CPI includes food and energy; core CPI excludes those volatile categories.

Markets and the Federal Reserve watch it closely because sustained readings above the Fed’s roughly 2% target influence rate decisions, liquidity, and risk appetite. The October 2026 data drops on Tuesday, November 10, at 8:30 a.m. ET.

What Are Forecasts Predicting for Tuesday’s CPI Data Drop?

Consensus forecasts point to a cooling print: headline CPI is expected around +0.2% to +0.3% month-over-month (versus +0.6% in September), with core also near +0.2%.

Year-over-year figures may be limited by prior data gaps, but models such as the Cleveland Fed’s nowcast project roughly 3.7% headline and low 2.5% core. Energy moderation and softer goods prices are cited as drivers.

A print in line with or below these expectations would likely be viewed as dovish, supporting expectations of easier policy or delayed further tightening. That environment typically lifts Bitcoin (and risk assets more broadly) by reducing the opportunity cost of holding non-yielding assets and improving liquidity conditions.

Bitcoin has shown heightened CPI sensitivity since the 2022 hiking cycle; cooler-than-expected data has often produced positive short-term moves, while hotter prints have triggered quick sell-offs.

Treasury stocks, whose market values are heavily tied to Bitcoin holdings, amplify those swings. A hotter-than-expected number could reverse the dynamic, pressuring Bitcoin and the equities that hold it.

What Are the Major Bitcoin Treasury Stocks Tied to the CPI Report?

Strategy (MSTR) remains the largest Bitcoin treasury proxy, holding about 849,000 BTC. Recently trading near $129, it shows a short-term bearish bias with an RSI of 40–45. Support is near $125–$126, with stronger support around $120, while resistance is at $131–$134. A positive CPI could drive a relief rally to $131–$135; conversely, a negative CPI might test the $120–$125 support band.

Mara Holdings (MARA), a major miner holding over 35,000 BTC, trades around $6.30–$6.35. Its technicals are mixed to bearish, with an RSI near 34. Immediate support is at $6.20–$5.90, while resistance is at $6.50–$6.80. A positive CPI could lead to a bounce towards $6.80–$7.00; a negative print may drop it to the mid-$5 range.

Strive (AAST) holds over 40,000 BTC and recently traded at $21.45, showing mixed signals as its RSI has fluctuated between the high-30s and mid-60s. Support is in the high teens to low $20s, with resistance in the mid-to-upper $20s. It is likely to track Bitcoin closely, with a dovish CPI potentially pushing it higher.

Overall, these stocks are more volatile than Bitcoin itself, so traders should watch the CPI deviation from consensus and Bitcoin’s reaction for confirmation.
