WASHINGTON (Reuters) – In its newest response to assaults on delivery by the Houthis, the United States on Thursday sanctioned a person and three foreign money change homes that it accused of facilitating the circulation of Iranian monetary help to the Yemeni motion.
The change homes are primarily based in Turkey and Yemen, the U.S. Treasury mentioned in a press release.
“Today’s action underscores our resolve to restrict the illicit flow of funds to the Houthis, who continue to conduct dangerous attacks on international shipping and risk further destabilizing the region,” Treasury Undersecretary Brian Nelson mentioned within the assertion.
