Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the declined 0.46% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the were Qualitas Controladora, SAB De CV (BMV:), which rose 4.05% or 5.97 points to trade at 153.37 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Comercial Chedraui, SAB De CV (BMV:) added 3.79% or 4.81 points to end at 131.81 and GCC SAB de CV (BMV:) was up 3.09% or 5.44 points to 181.59 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (BMV:), which fell 5.69% or 9.47 points to trade at 157.06 at the close. Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (BMV:) declined 2.99% or 15.93 points to end at 516.22 and Corporacion Inmobiliaria Vesta SAB (BMV:) was down 2.48% or 1.23 points to 48.31.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 106 to 94 and 11 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.34% or 8.99 to $2,673.79 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.84% or 0.58 to hit $68.14 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.98% or 0.71 to trade at $72.07 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.16% to 20.38, while EUR/MXN unchanged 0.01% to 21.56.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 105.79.
