Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the declined 0.52% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the were EDP Renovaveis (ELI:), which rose 0.46% or 0.06 points to trade at 13.12 at the close. Meanwhile, Semapa (ELI:) added 0.13% or 0.02 points to end at 14.92 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:) was up 0.12% or 0.01 points to 4.24 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Corticeira Amorim (ELI:), which fell 2.06% or 0.18 points to trade at 8.57 at the close. Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:) declined 1.49% or 0.04 points to end at 2.51 and Sonae SGPS SA (ELI:) was down 1.19% or 0.01 points to 0.92.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 18 to 7 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Corticeira Amorim (ELI:) fell to 3-years lows; down 2.06% or 0.18 to 8.57.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 1.66% or 1.26 to $74.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.69% or 1.21 to hit $70.53 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.95% or 26.25 to trade at $2,733.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.20% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.16% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.38% at 104.31.
