Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the lost 1.27% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the were Europower Enerji ve Otomasyon Teknolojileri Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:), which rose 4.82% or 3.80 points to trade at 82.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Turkiye Sigorta AS (IS:) added 3.66% or 0.42 points to end at 11.90 and Papilon Savunma Guvenlik Sistemleri (IS:) was up 3.09% or 2.45 points to 81.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:), which fell 9.49% or 2.14 points to trade at 20.42 at the close. Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:) declined 7.79% or 4.75 points to end at 56.25 and Emlak Konut Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:) was down 7.32% or 0.78 points to 9.87.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 286 to 261 and 30 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.13% or 3.60 to $2,673.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 4.02% or 2.82 to hit $72.92 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 3.78% or 2.79 to trade at $76.69 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.02% to 34.18, while EUR/TRY fell 0.40% to 37.64.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 101.80.
