In January alone, Taylor won a Golden Globe for her performance in “One Battle After Another” and was nominated for an Oscar for the role.
To top it off, Taylor has looked great while doing it, stepping out in a slew of stunning red-carpet looks. Taylor has been honing her chic style for years, and her fashion seems to be reaching new heights as her career does.

Taylor wore a black gown with semi-sheer detailing to the American Music Awards in November 2016.

Taylor walked the AMAs red carpet in a black Steven Khalil gown.
The corset bodice was covered in black lace and had off-the-shoulder sleeves. Panels of sheer fabric adorned with lace and sparkles sat atop the form-fitting skirt, and it spilled into a gentle train.
She paired the dress with slicked-back hair, adding an edge to the glamorous look.
She looked elegant and festive in a green gown for VH1’s Divas Holiday: Unsilent Night in December 2016.

A month later, Taylor stepped out at VH1’s Divas Holiday: Unsilent Night event in a figure-hugging green gown.
The dress had one long sleeve, a delicate train, and a brooch on one shoulder.
She wowed in a daring set at her first Met Gala in September 2021.

Taylor made her Met Gala debut in September 2021 at the “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion” event, wearing a Prabal Gurung ensemble.
The silver look, inspired by the Venus de Milo sculpture, featured a bikini-style top with crisscrossing fabric, and a low-waisted skirt with a thigh-high slit that flowed into a dramatic train trailing behind her. Swarovski crystals adorned the straps of the look, which Taylor paired with strappy heels and a headpiece.
Dramatic and daring, the look was a great choice for Taylor’s first Met Gala.
Statement accessories made her black gown pop at a fashion awards show in Los Angeles in April 2023.

Taylor walked the red carpet in a black gown designed by Mônot. The strapless dress had a corset bodice with sheer paneling, while the Grecian-style skirt had a thigh-high slit.
She paired the dress with black gloves and strappy heels that curled around her ankles in thick straps. Black sunglasses with a beaded chain, a choker, and a chin cuff added drama to the ensemble.
She wore another eye-catching set to the May 2023 Met Gala.

Taylor turned heads again at the “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty” Met Gala in a tweed set designed by Thom Browne.
Her bodysuit top was designed to look like a suit, complete with double-breasted buttons, a collar, and a tie, and the shoulders had exposed stitching.
The low-waisted, column skirt featured the same stitching on the seams, and a train trailed behind her. Taylor wore a birdcage veil and aviator sunglasses with the ensemble.

Taylor’s black set from Mônot looked like a dress ripped in half.
The high-neck top had an asymmetrical hem that cropped just below her bust, while the floor-length column skirt’s waistline mirrored the top’s curved hem.
Her long sleeves, which turned into gloves, had holes inside her elbows, maintaining the garment’s ripped look, which Taylor paired with stud earrings and a statement lip ring.
Her floral dress for the May 2024 Met Gala was one of the best looks of the night.

For the “Garden of Time” Met Gala, Taylor arrived in a floral-adorned gown designed by The Blonds.
The strapless neckline pointed into a V, and three-dimensional, floral appliqué adorned the corset bodice. Layered ruching sat on Taylor’s hips, as did more floral adornments, before the skirt transitioned to a column style that exposed Taylor’s legs thanks to a dramatic slit.
Taylor paired the dress with gold heels and jewelry, as well as a blond wig that may have been a fun nod to her gown’s designer.
She put a sexy spin on a suit at the Fifteen Percent Pledge Gala in February 2025.

LaQuan Smith designed Taylor’s suit, which featured a cropped tuxedo jacket and wide-legged pants that belted at her waist with a cummerbund.
Her sheer blouse was the star of her look, with a polka-dot pattern and a dramatic ribbon at the neck. She wore the top unbuttoned, adding a daring touch to the look.

Taylor tapped LaQuan Smith again for the Vanity Fair party, wearing a dress made almost entirely of sheer, red fabric.
The crewneck, long-sleeve gown was see-through, with a leotard-style bodice featuring cutouts at the waist. The tiered skirt was slightly less sheer and featured ruffled detailing.
A gold choker made the look pop.

Taylor was a livestream host for the “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” Met Gala, and the outfit she arrived in epitomized the Black dandyism style the event celebrated.
Custom-designed by Marc Jacobs, Taylor wore a gray, pinstripe suit with a long jacket and pants that cinched at the ankles. She wore a red vest under the suit, which coordinated with her dramatic, floor-length cape adorned with “Harlem Rose,” a feathered hat, and red shoes.
Multiple accessories added to the look, like an oversize flower on the lapel, brooches, a necklace, and multiple waist chains.
She wowed in another suit at the New York premiere of “One Battle After Another” in September 2025.

Taylor attended the screening in a Helen Taylor suit from the designer’s spring 2025 collection.
The neckline cut all the way to Taylor’s waist, where it cinched with a bow. Her tailored pants flared at the leg, and she wore a loose tie around her neck.
A floor-length coat in the same brown-checked pattern completed the sophisticated, sexy look.

Taylor promoted the Hulu series in a gold Schiaparelli gown.
The floor-length dress had a halter neckline, and its bodice cut dramatically inward to reveal much of her torso. Rips adorned the dress, revealing both Taylor’s skin and sparkly, silver fabric on the inside of the gown.
A slit revealed Taylor’s silver boots, which matched the fabric of the rips.

To celebrate being named to the Time100 Next list, Taylor wore a black Tom Ford by Haider Ackermann look.
The base was a sheer, black gown. It had a halter neckline, while the bodice was just a thin strip of fabric that ran down the center of her chest before flowing into a mermaid skirt.
She wore a blazer over the dress, with pocket-square detailing and white cuffs to create the illusion of a shirt beneath. The jacket added a professional flair to the look.
The detailing on the silver gown she wore to the November 2025 Governors Awards gave it dimension.

Taylor chose a black Nicholas Oakwell Couture dress for the Critics Choice Association Celebration of Black Cinema & Television.
The strapless, bustier bodice was covered in black, sheer lace. A wrap dress adorned with white flowers sat on top, with a one-shoulder strap that cut across her bodice. The dress ruched at the waist, and it swathed across her legs asymmetrically into a train.
Long tassels trimmed the dress, bringing dimension to the look. Pointed-toe heels with floral detailing, designed by Alexandre Birman, coordinated with the look.
She wore a ball gown full of texture to the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards in January 2026.

The bodice of the gown was sheer and featured an off-the-shoulder, sweetheart neckline. The ball gown skirt was made of a latex-like material, and it bubbled around her waist for dramatic volume.
