After one of the most emotionally intense games of the season against their former coach Lane Kiffin and LSU, Ole Miss traveled down to the Swamp to take on the Florida Gators.
Sure, the intensity going into the game was nothing like the week before, but Florida was always going to be a challenge, coming in as the No. 21 team in the nation, with Ole Miss showing up in Gainesville at No. 4.
However, in the early going, it was all Florida.

Gators running back Jadan Baugh opened the scoring with a short run to the end zone. Kicker Patrick Durkin tacked on the extra point and hung another three points on the board with a field goal later in the quarter.
Ole Miss finally got their zero off the board with a field goal early in the second quarter and another late.

Unfortunately for Ole Miss, those two field goals sandwiched another rushing touchdown for Baugh, and the Gators took a 17-6 lead to the locker room at halftime.
The second half is when the offense really started to heat up.

Ole Miss signal caller Trinidad Chambliss scored a rushing touchdown on the team’s first drive of the half. However, Florida answered right back with a rushing touchdown from running back Duke Clark.
It was all about the ground game. Florida posted 302 rushing yards, with both Baugh and Clark rushing for over 100 yards apiece, making it the first time two Gators have done that in the same game since 2022.

Florida led the entire game and really pulled away in the fourth quarter, which saw the lone passing touchdown of their seven trips to the red zone on the day.
The Gators offense has been impressive, putting up more than 50 points in all but one game this season, but this was one that is really going to get them some attention …
That one game where they failed to hit the 50-point mark? That was last weekend against Auburn, in which they scored a paltry 44 points.
Florida hadn’t beaten a top-5 team since a win over Georgia in 2020, and there’s no doubt that this win is going to shake up the rankings.

Next, the Gators will turn their attention to the No. 19 Missouri Tigers, while Ole Miss will look to bounce back in a couple of weeks against Vanderbilt.
