Spain wins the 2026 FIFA World Cup

Spain is still taking a well-deserved victory lap after locking up the World Cup title earlier this month, and for one player, that involved getting some fresh ink.
And what better way to commemorate the win than by getting the World Cup trophy permanently drawn on your body?
I’ll tell you one: getting your manager’s big ol’ mug holding the World Cup trophy permanently drawn on your body, which is what Spain’s Marc Cucurella did.

Even before the tournament started, Cucurella pledged to get a tattoo of his manager’s face if the team went all the way.
He may have thought he was in the clear when Spain opened the tournament with a 0-0 draw against Cape Verde, but that turned out to be the only blemish on their World Cup record.
Spain defeated reigning champs Argentina for the title on July 19, and now Cucurella is making good on his promise.
There had to be a point, as Spain was closing in on the final, where Cucurella was hoping everyone had forgotten about all of this tattoo business.

I think he’s going to get irritated in a hurry when he has to keep fielding the questions, “Who is that old guy on your arm?” over and over and over.
Hell, he might just want to get a second tattoo right under that just says, “Before you ask me, it’s Spanish national soccer team manager Luis de la Fuente.”
