President Donald Trump told world leaders Tuesday that the U.S. is growing stronger economically, militarily and technologically, using his United Nations address to tout America’s lead in artificial intelligence and its expanding power abroad.
“From this point forward, all of the United States documents and hopefully the world’s will be changed to use the much more accurate term super as opposed to artificial. So it’s super intelligence,” said Trump. “Welcome to the new world of superintelligence,” the president added.
“Every major new technology brings challenges, and super intelligence is no exception,” said Trump. “Whoever wins super intelligence wins. That’s the group that wins. And we’re leading now over China by a lot and everyone else. And we’re going to keep it that way.”
Speaking before world leaders at the U.N. General Assembly in New York, Trump used the address to make a broader case for American strength, pointing to the war with Iran, pushing other countries to isolate Tehran economically and highlighting a deal that expands the U.S. military presence in Greenland.

After months of failed negotiations and continued fighting between the U.S. and Iran, Trump predicted Tehran would reach a deal with Washington after the November midterm elections.
“I believe we’ll make a deal right after the election, because it doesn’t make sense for them not to. They’re waiting to see how I do in the midterm election. What they don’t realize is that I’m not running. I did that already and won in a landslide,” said Trump.
Trump said he inherited the Iran problem from previous administrations and argued that U.S. military action prevented Tehran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, saying European nations should recognize that they also benefited from the move.
“I hope the Europeans realize that Iran’s goal was to complete their mad dash to a nuclear bomb from behind this conventional ballistic missile shield,” said Trump. “If they had succeeded, that wicked regime would have been free to spread terror and death forever, knowing that any attempt to stop them would face an arsenal.”
He thanked the UN Security Council for its resolution condemning Iran’s attacks on commercial shipping, then called on “all nations” to join the U.S. in a “complete economic isolation of Iran.”

First lady Melania Trump, White House chief of staff Susie Wiles, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Ambassador to the UN Mike Waltz all were present for the speech.
Trump also put Cuba on notice during his speech, declaring there will be “fundamental change” in the communist country following negotiations between Rubio and Cuban officials.

“Communism will never be coming to America, but freedom will be coming to Cuba,” said Trump.
Trump said that the U.S. will not allow foreign adversaries to threaten America at its own “doorstep.”
“The Cuban regime has also spent decades coordinating with the left wing radicals and communist networks here in the United States, as our State Department has detailed, they’ve cultivated ties to subversive and radical groups such as the Communist Party USA, Antifa and the Democrat Socialists of America,” said the president.
Cuban officials exited the room when Trump declared Cuba a “failed state,” leaving empty seats in their row.
Trump touted the U.S. economy as the “envy” of the world with jobs rising, poverty reaching new lows and tax cuts.
“The entire world is being lifted by the wealth, strength, spirit and momentum of a newly energized and a very powerful United States of America,” said Trump.

Trump returned to drawing a clear line on putting America first, calling out the International Maritime Organization for “secretly establishing a first ever global carbon tax very expensive tax to raise international shipping costs.”
“There is no global government. And while I’m president, there will be no global taxes,” he said.
The administration recently announced a trilateral U.S.-Denmark-Greenland security agreement Friday.
“No U.S. adversary will ever be permitted to establish a military presence in Greenland anymore, or make sensitive investments there. Without our express written approval,” said Trump, adding that the U.S. will build two military bases.
Trump is set to meet with Prime Minister Frederiksen of Denmark and Prime Minister Nielsen of Greenland to sign the agreement following his remarks.
