College Football Week 6 is here, and with it comes one of the biggest games of the season. It seems like the two schools square off each year, and it is always a great game. That’s what happens when two of the best teams in the country and two of the top programs in college football meet, and tonight we have Georgia taking on Alabama.

This season, Georgia comes into the game as the second-ranked team in the country. They are a few years removed from being the best defense in the league. Now the team seems to have a better offense than defense. Still, the team hasn’t been bad on the defensive side of the ball, either. The Bulldogs haven’t allowed more than 20 points in a game this season, but they also haven’t faced anyone that impressive.

In Week 1, the Bulldogs played Tennessee State and won by 60 points. In Week 2, they won by 50. Then in Week 3, they at least faced some more difficult opponents. They beat Arkansas on the road, but by “only” 28 points. Oklahoma came to face them in Week 4, and they won by 28 in this game as well. Last week, they played against Vanderbilt, and they won by 24 points. At no point in this season have they been tested or had to face a tough team.

FIVE IMPORTANT COLLEGE FOOTBALL QUESTIONS THAT WILL BE ANSWERED AFTER THIS WEEKEND’S SLATE

The Alabama Crimson Tide brings a 5-0 record of their own, and a rank of sixth in the nation. It has taken a while for the program to look good, but Alabama has been pretty solid through the first five weeks of the season. It isn’t like the Tide have faced anyone overly difficult outside of last week, but the team has looked good on offense, like it will be hard for anyone to stop.

Last week they hung 56 points on Mississippi State, a team that was climbing the ranks. Alabama allowed 23 points to them, but clearly had no issue with their defense. Against South Carolina, the Tide won by 31 points, and the previous week, the Tide faced FSU and won by just 14. It was the lone win that looked a bit questionable for the team. The fewest points scored by the Crimson Tide this season is 45 points.

When these two get together, it seems like something always happens that is memorable. Georgia rocked Alabama in the SEC Championship Game last season, 28-7, but Alabama won the previous three meetings between the two teams. This game is in Tuscaloosa, so Alabama does get the edge. I like what I’ve seen out of Keelon Russell and think he can lead the Tide to victory. I’m going to take Alabama to win the game at -122.
